Play & Sing Events

Every year, we welcome over 100 musicians to play and sing with Spires Music as we learn a work from scratch in just one day. We rehearse during the morning and afternoon and then, under the guidance of our Music Director Jack Lovell-Huckle, we give an informal performance for our friends and family. We've previously tackled works including Shostakovich 5th Symphony, Brahms' A German Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Schubert's Mass in Ab.

21 September 2024: Orchestra Play Day

Come and join us in Baginton Road church to play the amazing 9th Symphony by Beethoven.

We will rehearse during the day with tea and coffee provided in the breaks.

In the afternoon there will be a free informal performance with tea and cakes provided.

Rehearsals: 10:00am - 3:30pm with breaks for refreshments and lunch.

Afternoon tea: 4:00

Performance : 4:30 - 5:30

Music will be provided.
