Come and join us as we explore Handel's joyous masterpiece, The Messiah in a day of fun and engaging workshops for both chorus and orchestra. This event is open to anyone who wants to experience singing or playing this wonderful work, whether you know it like the back of your hand or you have never performed it before!

Registration is from 9:30am. Rehearsals begin at 10am and will finish at 5pm with an informal run through. There will be breaks throughout the day and we encourage participants to bring their own lunch and refreshments. With regret, we are not able to provide refreshments this year. Singers are welcome to bring their own score or borrow one on the day. Orchestral players will be provided with music and can be sent digital copies before the day.

Spires Covid Protocols:

Rooms will be well ventilated (dress warmly) and seats spaced. 

You must be vaccinated against Covid (with booster) and we will be asking for proof of this on arrival on the day.

To protect each other, please take a lateral flow test before coming to this event ensuring that it is negative and wear a mask on arrival and at all times when not singing, eating or drinking. Masks may be removed when seated and singing.

Unfortunately under the present circumstances, we are not inviting an audience this year.
