About The Event
The concert will begin with Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture - a much loved "potpourri of songs” which are both serious and light-hearted, as befits this special occasion. Then follows Brahms' hopeful and consolatory setting of the Song of Destiny (Schicksalslied).
Beethoven's Ninth Symphony has long been part of Spires Music's history, so what better way is there to celebrate 20 years of music making than a grand performance of this masterpiece.
