A concert of choral and orchestral music by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Copland, Elgar,Fauré, Handel, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Parry, Rachmaninov, Schubert, Spofforth.
On Saturday, June 1st Coventry Spires Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus and Neuer Chor Dresden will together celebrate 60 years of twinning between these two cities that were so ravaged by war. The choirs and orchestra will perform in a joint concert in Coventry Cathedral, celebrating peace, reconciliation and friendship.
The Coventry Dresden Art Exchange exhibition Condition Humaine, in the Cathedral’s Lady Chapel, will run concurrently Friday 31st May to June 30th. The exhibition was first shown at the Kreuzkirche in Dresden in February this year to launch the 60th Anniversary of the twinning of Coventry and Dresden.
